Privacy Policy

Who we are

PATTRN is a product of Nordic Design Collective. This policy covers pattrn.design, the PATTRN marketing website, and the beta-interest form on that site. It does not cover the PATTRN product application at pattrn.app, which is a separate system with its own database.

What we collect

When you fill out the beta-interest form on pattrn.design, we collect:

• Your first and last name (required).
• Your email address (required).
• Your phone number (optional).
• What your inquiry is about, chosen from a short list (optional).
• How you would describe yourself or your role, chosen from a short list (optional).
• Any message you write (optional).
• Your confirmation that you agree to these terms (required, you must check the box to submit).

When you submit the form, our server also automatically records the date and time of your submission, your browser's user agent string, and the page that referred you to the form. We use this technical information to help spot spam and abusive submissions, not to track you across the web.

We do not collect anything from you unless you submit the form. We do not use tracking pixels or fingerprinting scripts on this site.

Automated spam protection

The form includes a hidden field that real visitors never see or fill in. If it gets filled in, we treat the submission as automated spam: we do not save it, and we do not send any email about it. This is a standard anti-bot technique, not a way of collecting extra information about you.

How we use your information

We use what you submit to follow up with you about PATTRN beta access. Specifically:

• We save your submission so our team can review it and reach out.
• Our team receives an internal email containing everything you submitted, so they can follow up with you personally.
• We send you a confirmation email acknowledging that we received your request. If you submit the form more than once with the same email address, we limit confirmation emails to at most one per 24 hours, so you are not repeatedly emailed for one inquiry.
• Requesting beta access does not guarantee a spot in the beta. We review requests individually.

Who we share your information with

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We use a small number of service providers to run this site and process your submission:

• Supabase, to store your submission in our database.
• Resend, to send the internal notification and your confirmation email.
• Vercel, to host the website itself.

Each of these providers only processes your information to help us operate the site and respond to your inquiry. We have not authorized any of them to use your information for their own purposes.

How long we keep your information

We keep beta-interest submissions indefinitely, as a list of people who have expressed interest in PATTRN, so our team can follow up over time. We do not currently run any automatic process to delete old submissions.

If you would like your information deleted, email us at hello@pattrn.design and we will remove it.

Where your information is stored

Your submission is stored in a database dedicated to this marketing site, kept separate from the PATTRN product application's own database. Access is restricted to our own server and to authorized Nordic Design Collective team members. There is no public or customer-facing login that can reach it.

Cookies and tracking

This site does not currently set cookies to track your behavior, and we do not currently use any analytics tool. We are planning to add Vercel Web Analytics in the future, which is a privacy-respecting analytics tool that does not use cookies or track individuals across sites. If and when we turn it on, we will update this policy to describe what it collects.

Our hosting provider records standard server logs, including visitor IP addresses, as part of running the site securely and blocking abusive traffic. This is ordinary infrastructure logging, not something our application stores or uses to identify you.

Your rights and choices

You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, at any time, by emailing hello@pattrn.design. We will respond and act on your request.

Children's privacy

pattrn.design and the beta-interest form are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, contact us at hello@pattrn.design and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site and the beta program change. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Significant changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
